Voluntary Terminations
When a youth minister (or any employee) lets you know they plan to leave their position, please use the following checklist:

Ensure you have received the employee's resignation letter.

Give the employee written receipt and acceptance of resignation letter.

Put a copy of both letters in personnel file.

Allow employee to gather personal belongings.

Communicate employee departure to staff.
-
Communicate employee departure to parents, teens, and parish at-large.
-
Make a plan to thank them for their ministry and to prayerfully send them off.
